Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced VP of Commercial Lending based in Nashville, TN. This role offers the opportunity to build a significant origination practice with the support of an established private credit platform. The ideal candidate brings strong relationships throughout the Southeast with an intrinsic motivation to grow their book of clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Source and originate commercial real estate bridge loans across the Southeast region
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, brokers, and other intermediaries
- Structure creative financing solutions across multiple property types
- Lead deal evaluation and preliminary underwriting
- Present opportunities to the investment committee
- Manage deal execution process from term sheet through closing
- Collaborate with credit and asset management teams
Required Qualifications
- 5-15+ years of commercial real estate lending/banking experience
- Established relationships with sponsors and intermediaries across Southeast markets
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals across major property types
- Experience structuring and closing commercial real estate loans
- Track record of originating and closing transactions
- Knowledge of Southeast real estate markets
